As a potential School Board member, I fully recognize I represent the local community. Other board members and I will not always agree, but you will always know exactly where I stand on significant issues and policies that drive us. For example, Once I heard girls were discovering boys in the locker room, I had to stand up. It is unacceptable that policy this profound was enacted without parental knowledge. This is a significant risk to our children’s safety, dignity, and privacy. Further, not only did the parents and children not know, at least one board member was unaware.

Our elected board members have a duty to communicate policy this controversial and impactful. It is a disgrace that no one will discuss how this decision was made, nor show any accountability for enacting it. All district business will be available for public scrutiny through meeting minutes and relevant votes, so you can clearly evaluate and judge all positions. If something is unclear, I will gladly respond to your email or phone call in timely manner. This is how I intend to build trust and serve the community. If at any time you feel I am not serving you, please voice it. I serve you! If I cease to do so, use your vote as your voice.
